We are delighted to announce that construction is officially underway on the brand-new Lidl retail store in Killorglin, County Kerry. This exciting project is the result of a close partnership between NRS and Lidl Ireland, and marks a significant investment in the local community.
Construction Timeline
Work commenced in April 2025, and we are on track to welcome customers before the end of the year. The project is expected to create up to 30 permanent jobs in-store, as well as up to 100 additional roles during the construction phase.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability is at the core of this development. The new store will feature:
- An ISO 50001-certified energy management system
- Advanced energy-efficient technologies
- On-site solar panel installation
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging points
These features reflect our shared commitment to building a greener, more sustainable future for Killorglin and beyond.
Supporting the Local Community
This €6 million investment will provide modern, accessible retail infrastructure and increased convenience for local residents, while also supporting economic growth in the region.
We look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses and to welcoming customers to the new Lidl Killorglin store soon!
